Day 3

Friday 3 September 2010 Taugata 20, Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway

I woke up early but fell asleep again it was so nice to snooze we were not ready to leave our motel before 12:00 then we were on our way to find "Sverd i Fjell". It was very easy to find and it was a very beautiful place to explore. And the three swords felt like a very powerful "symbol" (for staying true to yourself, that was my own interpretation).
Then it was time to explore Stavanger "Sentrum", it was lively but calm at the same time. We got some information from the tourist information. We also rented two surfboards at "Surfsentrum" ( at the same time we got information about the best surf spots for tomorrow. Now we could only hope for waves. One thing I was noticing, was that the fishing boats were selling their fresh prawns directly from their boats to bypassing customers. I really liked that concept, no middle man.
Then we drove home to the camping, once there we got the opportunity to speak to a Swedish expat, it was interesting to listen to his view of Norway and Sweden.
We ended the evening down at Sola beach, with a deluxe hot dog dinner with beer, while watching the beautiful sunset...
