Sunday 14 June 2009 Varberg, Halland County, Sweden

Woke up to a wonderful day and started with theory session at 10:00 with a lot of important info about safe kiting, equipment and sailing rules. Finally I got my KSA kitesport license but I knew that I needed a lot more practice but for the moment I have to leave that for the future. Now it was time to hang out with my friend from Stockholm, he and his cousin came by with their car and we drove to Varberg.
Were we explored the atmosphere at Apelviken and enjoyed the scenery with all different water activities kite surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, swimming and surfing. It was great waves but the wind was a little bit cold so we went to the store at the camping and sat down for a chat while enjoying the luxury of instant coffee with ice cream. Then we hooked up with my girlfriend that had just finished her wave surfing class for the day and my friend’s cousin. We stopped at one of the local pizza places before we explored the famous Fortress in Varberg. It was a nice and refreshing closure for this weekend…

For me it was so many new impressions with the kiting that I felt it is better to have fewer hours and more days. But you also need a really good wetsuit to keep warm since you spend a lot of time in the water as a beginner at least most beginners do/:)

This was another adventure.
